Envelope Condition Assessment

Located in North Vancouver, BC, this project consisted of a building envelope condition assessment. Observations were carried out on selected components and building systems with specific attention paid to questionable details that typically fail by allowing water to enter the assembly. Without proper drainage management, water that enters in these crucial areas promotes moisture entrapment. Notable locations where observations were conducted include intersections between the building parapet walls and roof decks; areas above and below flashing terminations; joints between dissimilar materials; and rainwater management and drainage system locations.
