Located in Burnaby, BC, this 2 storey, 32 unit residential building project consisted of a complete balcony and roof assembly remediation. The scope of work included the following:

  • Complete replacement of main flat roof assembly and sloped roof of the elevator shaft, including replacement of waterproofing
    membranes, sheathing, flashings, vents, plumbing vents, drains, roof hatch and all roof accessories and associated components.
  • Complete replacement of existing insulation between the roof joists with closed-cell spray foam insulation.
  • Complete replacement of all existing balcony sliding doors with new vinyl-framed sliding doors, including the construction of adequate waterproofing details at their rough openings.
  • Complete replacement of all existing balcony assemblies, including replacement of the waterproofing membrane, flashings, deck sheathing, fascia boards and soffits with new and addition of gutters and downspouts, including waterproofing of associated components.
  • Complete replacement of all existing guardrails with new aluminum side-mounted, free-standing, frosted glass in-fill guardrails, including waterproofing of associated components.
  • Complete replacement steep and low-sloped overhang roof canopies with new, including the construction of waterproofing detailing and associated components.
  • Repairs and upgrades to existing and damaged structural framing as required.
